Investment-Update von Low Carbon Accelorators
Die britische Venture-Capital-Firma Low Carbon Accelorators, zu deren Aktionären auch die Allianz-Versicherungsgruppe gehört, schreibt in ihrem Investment-Update zu jüngsten Beteiligung an der englischen Hanffirma Hemcore:
“On 18 July 2007 the Company announced it had invested £1,088,000 in Hemcore Limited for an equity stake of 30.0%. Hemcore is the UK’s largest grower and processor of industrial hemp, which it supplies as low carbon raw materials to a wide range of industries. The investment from LCA and the other investors will enable Hemcore to purchase and install a new operating plant in order to expand rapidly its operations and increase its range of products, and in particular to grow sales of the recently launched natural fibre insulation product. Since the investment by LCA, Hemcore has had its first order for its Breathe insulation from B&Q.”
Die Gesellschaft beteiligt sich an Firmen, die zur Co2-Reduktion beitragen. Der Netto-Inventarwert der aktuellen Beteiligungen wird mit 92,5 pence pro Aktie angegeben. Die Aktien notieren am Alternative Investement Market (AIM). Der Preis liegt aktuell leicht über 100 Pence.
